Our End of Year Extravaganza brought together Charger families – past, present and future! It was a spectacular night dedicated to celebrating the incredible talent and bright futures of the entire community. The air was filled with the vibrant sounds of Morgan Maxwell’s Mariachi performing alongside Los Portillos.

Cholla High School hosted a vibrant Career Fair, bringing together our CTE programs and amazing community partners! Students had the chance to explore career pathways, make connections, and discover new opportunities for their future.

Cholla High School celebrated the 18th anniversary of its Arabic Program! Nearly two decades of student success, cultural exchange, and community engagement were honored with delicious food, vibrant dancing, and lots of fun.

We’re proud of this unique and impactful program that continues to enrich our students and community! 

Our CTE Cholla JROTC Raiders recently competed at the Sahuarita Raiders Meet, facing off against more than 100 other cadets from across the region! The Raiders team trains twice a week in preparation for these challenging competitions, which test teamwork, endurance, and leadership. They will participate in several meets throughout the year, each one helping our young cadets build confidence, strengthen camaraderie, and develop essential leadership skills. Way to go, Chargers! 

On October 28, Cholla High School hosted its AVIDWeen Family Night! It was a night full of spooky AVID learning, fun games, college and program tables, and plenty of Halloween spirit. A great time was had by all!

On October 24, Catalina High School hosted the Tucson City Cross Country Championship at Rio Vista Natural Resource Park. Runners from Catalina, Palo Verde, Sahuaro, Cholla, Pueblo, Tucson High, Rincon University, and Sabino all ran their hardest. Congratulations to all our student athletes who represented TUSD!

Cholla High School hosted Running and Winning, an fun event that gave female students the chance to learn more about civic leadership and public service. The program brought together voices from the community, including the Mayor of Tucson and other local elected officials, who spoke with students about leadership, community involvement, and civic engagement. It was a great opportunity for students to hear directly from leaders shaping Tucson’s future.

On August 19, Tucson Subaru stopped by Cholla High School to surprise 20 teachers! Tucson Subaru partnered with us for a second year in a row to provide classroom kits filled with school supplies and a $500 gift card for their classrooms. Representatives from the local car dealership made their way across campus to personally deliver each kit and thank each teacher for the wonderful work they're doing.

The Cholla girls golf team kicked off their season with their first match against Cienega High School on August 18 at El Rio Golf Course.

Class of 2025 seniors visited Johnson, Morgan Maxwell, Oyama, Pistor, Tolson and Valencia, greeted by excited students as they walked the hallways of their former elementary and middle school for the last time before graduation.
